Plogg - Bluetooth enabled Power Meter and Logger
Whether you are a Facilities Manager or an inquiring Home Owner, smart meter plugs provide you with essential data about energy consumption at the point of use - the power socket.
Two-way wireless communication from a PC, PDA or Smart Phone is available with Bluetooth connectivity. User specified data logging of intervals between 1 minute and 1 month can be set enabling great scope for detailed appraisal of your appliances' energy performance.
Simply reducing the operating time of a 1kW appliance(s) by as little as ONE HOUR per day can give you an 18 month payback and similarly, a one hour reduction of a 3kW hour load will result in a 6 month payback.
The plogg can be left unattended and disconnected wirelessly from the PC. For example, with a set of four to six devices, your energy audit can be conducted on selected areas or appliances in one office whilst you are busy in another location. Returning to site, you can either dowload the logs to a Laptop or to a smart phone/PDA for later transfer to your PC, or you can simply read the instantaneous data values.
